Downloadable Documents (Read only) Following reguests from a number of Newsagents, VANA has been looking into the provision of Newsagency employee training. There has been confusion regarding the value ($) of government grants and the fact that some training providers charge more than others. In conjunction with i Training Solutions (the training provider) and Jobs Plus New Apprenticeship Centre (the scheme's administrator), the VANA Certificate II and III in Retail Operations has been developed. The course will be delivered through self-paced modules with a site assessment and guidance from the training provider. This scheme will train your employees and you are assured of receiving maximum government grants. For example, if a new employee completes the program, the Newsagent will receive $4000. The cost to the employer is a $290 mandatory government fee. Payroll Tax and WorkCover levy exemptions may also apply.
